Case 2: My friends computer wont boot up past the safe mode, etc screen. i have tried my disk to do a repair but still nothing. i think it`s the hard drive but her kids say no, and want to wipe xp pro off and install windows 98. any comments?
Case 3: My computer was running some routine checks last night and it restarted itself. When i woke up the screen was blue and said that there was a problem and it wasn't letting windows load. It suggested I go into safe mode and delete whatever i just tried to install. I wasn't trying to install anything, so i don't know what i would take off. But, it won't let me start my computer in "safe mode", "debugging mode" or "start from last normal boot". The error message is "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME". Is there any way to fix this w/o taking it in? Its windows xp if that matters. Thanks
